What is engagement?

I mentioned in the last video about engaging with your audience and engagement comes in a few different forms. The algorithms favour engagement, which means the more action that is taken on your post, the algothirm will believe that the post is quality and is more likely to show that post to more people, which is the goal most of the time right? So engagement, or action, means “has the audience liked, subscribed, commented, clicked a link, watched a video or shared your post? The more people we can get to do that thing, the more people will see our post. Your goal is to get as many people as possible to take an action on whatever content you are putting up. You have all watched YouTube videos where the person speaking specifically asks you to “subscribe and click the notification bell” and a lot of the time they ask a question and want you to “put the answer in the comments” – well, plot twist here people, they don’t care what your answer is, all they are looking for is the engagement. There is no reason why you can’t do the same on your social media videos, images and descriptions.

How can we come up with engaging content ideas? Well one application you can use is called answer the public. This is an idea generating machine! Plug in a topic or interest, and answer the public will tap into the search engines, find out what people are actually wanting information on, and then let you know a whole bunch of different topics. This is great if you are stuck for contentand want to quickly create something. Here’s how it works
