What content is best on what platform?
We’ve just gone through the different types of content, Audio, text, images, video, but where should we put them? Let’s dive into some of the more popular platforms and have a look.
Facebook – Images and video with long form text descriptions work best on this platform. At the time of recording, Facebook favours the Facebook Live video option, and recorded video should be uploaded directly to the platform
Linkedin – Very similar to Facebook with images and video to be uploaded here. Long form descriptions are the norm, and sharing knowledge is appropriate for this platform
Instagram – Images work best for Instagram, with short or long descriptions, and hashtags. When writing hashtags, make sure they are appropriate for your company instead of using generic hashtags such as #happy and #Love, this will ensure you are getting a relevant audience
YouTube – It’s no surprise that video content is what YouTube is all about. YouTube videos should have a long form description included as well
TikTok – Video content mainly for TikTok as well, and they are short – between 1 and 3 minutes. Great for following trends and connecting with the younger audience.
